Thanks Andrew,

Influences seem to indeed have a primary cause that contributes towards leadership qualities.

In fact as I was researching, there has been a causal factor which can be tweaked to influence leadership and much more as well...

Thanks for your question Benny. The leaders made or born question is a perenial one.
My research with Dr Ana Kazan shows that early family and cultural factors influence Self-leadership and this in turn influences leadership later in life. Trust this helps.

Self Actualization plays a huge impact in leadership and even on life.

But have you ever wondered why some people have influence, while others struggle? Or whether leaders are 'made' or 'born'?

Do let me know thanks?!

Thanks for this excellent re-visit to Peter Senge's book. Self-actualization seems to be the key to competitive advantage in today's business world as well, particularly in service industries.

If people can learn to express their unique selves in the pursuit of a common organisational outcome, rather than follow a standard, 'scripted' set of behaviours, then customers will receive authentic responses and true service value.

Furthermore, if we are all expressing our uniqueness, won't we be happier at work, and thus offer even greater value to our customers?
