Self-leadership, according to Andrew, means accepting responsibility for your results. You don't blame other people and you don't make excuses. This can be challenging; however, a self-leader sees options and grasps opportunities when others are waiting to be rescued.

We don’t choose our time and place of birth, we don’t choose our DNA, our parents, or early education, but by practicing self-leadership we can take ownership and become the driver rather than the passenger of our lives and career.

Andrew Bryant's work on self-leadership has been cited in over 140 research papers and Ph.D. dissertations. He created the first self-leadership situational judgment test, making him one of the most respected voices in the field. This is important because you can’t lead others unless you first lead yourself.

I believe that you can’t lead others unless you first lead yourself and this has driven me to research and write about self-leadership. Everybody can be a self-leader but not everyone takes ownership and seizes opportunities. My speeches are therefore applicable to senior leaders and individual contributors alike.

My signature keynote is 'Driving Accelerated Results through Self-leadership'.
